The Utah Sports Commission will take center stage at the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament in February 2025 by sponsoring the official referee coins — a symbolic and integral part of every match.

From February 6–9, more than 400 youth soccer teams from around the globe will descend on Utah to compete at premier venues across St. George, Washington, and Mesquite. This tournament continues to grow in stature as one of the region’s marquee youth sporting events.

A driving force behind Utah’s emergence as a hub for elite athletic events, the Utah Sports Commission plays a vital role in attracting top-tier competitions that bolster the state’s reputation and strengthen its Olympic and Paralympic ambitions.

By partnering with the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament, the Commission is further harnessing the power of sport to generate economic impact, inspire future athletes, and showcase Utah on the global stage.

“The 7 Elite Academy International Tournament is a unique opportunity to spotlight Utah’s world-class facilities and warm hospitality to a global audience. This event brings in teams from iconic sporting cities like Liverpool and Birmingham in the UK, highlighting the international pull of this competition.

The 2025 tournament is expected to be one of the largest youth soccer events ever hosted in the region, delivering significant benefits to local sports facilities, hotels, and businesses throughout Southern Utah.

Anthony Godfrey, Global Director of 7 Elite Academy, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome the Utah Sports Commission as a key partner for our 2025 tournament.

“The growth of this event has been phenomenal, with increasing numbers of teams traveling internationally to be part of something special here in Utah.

“Having the support of an organization that shares our vision for long-term sporting development is exciting. Together, we’re not just creating memorable moments on the pitch — we’re building a legacy for Utah’s sporting future, including its Olympic and Paralympic pathway.
