See you in 2027!

The 7 Elite Academy International Tournament saw thousands of players, coaches and families celebrate international youth soccer over three days in Southern Utah.

The tournament, presented by Greater Zion, was played at some of the best youth soccer venues in St George, Washington, Shivwits and Mesquite this month.

Over 450 teams from across the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, New Zealand and Canada took part in the ninth year of the long-running event.

Nick Nield, 7 Elite Academy International Tournament Director, said: “This has been the very best tournament I’ve ever been involved with and the quality of play was higher than ever.

“Having the International teams here added an extra dimension to the games and certainly helped our players to learn more about the game on a global scale.

“For the first time, we welcomed players from New Zealand and South Africa, which was a true bonus. Culturally, it was a brilliant few weeks for everyone involved.

“The venues were outstanding and to have the red rocks of Greater Zion as a backdrop was fantastic. I can’t everyone enough for contributing to our best youth soccer event yet.”

The tournament was attended by college coaches and recruiters from across the region, continuing the event’s rich tradition of creating new opportunities for college scholarships and professional academy trials.

Anthony Godfrey, 7 Elite Academy Global Director, added: “Seeing all the youth people enjoy competitive soccer in such fantastic surroundings is something I will always remember.

“To bring so many players, coaches and families together demanded a huge organizational effort from everyone involved, but it was certainly worth it. It was our best tournament yet.

“The venues were spectacular and certainly gave the tournament an extra lift. I don’t believe there is a better youth soccer event in this part of the United States.

“We are already working on plans to make our 2027 tournament event better, with even better teams, venues and opportunities to meet colleges coaches Watch this space!”
