2025 Tournament Questions

These questions are related to the upcoming 2025 7 Elite International Tournament

A: The 7 Elite Academy International Tournament takes place at the start of February every year in Southern Utah and Southern Nevada. In 2024, it will be held on February 1-3. We use the finest fields for soccer in the region, with headquarters at Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Complex in Washington, Little Valley in St George and Mesquite Regional Sports and Events Complex.

A: REGISTRATION COSTS ARE BELOW:
U9-U10 = $875
U11-U12 = $965
U13-U14 = $1015
U15-U16 = $1065
U17-U19 = $1115

A: Games usually start around 3.

A: It’s very difficult to switch games with the time frame we have. With only 2 1/2 days and almost 500 games to play, there is virtually no wiggle room. For the past two years we have always encouraged coaches of multiple teams to make sure they bring a competent assistant willing to step in and help.

A: January 20, 2025

A: Payment is made at the time of registration via credit or debit card

A: With 6 teams you play all three teams in the other group. The final is the top two teams based on points earned in those three games. Basically it means all games count in standings (no consolation games) and if two strong teams end up in the same group they could both still play in the final. Winning the group for 6 teams brackets isn’t really a thing because it’s just points.

A: Send info to tournament director and/or referee assignor. Please include Game number and team names with score info. Example:
Game #47
Meta – 2
7-Elite – 0
7 Elite won Shootout

A: Registration Deadline –  December 15, 2023 (Registration may close earlier if we reach full capacity before the deadline as we’ve done since 2020).

Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

A: The climate in Southern Utah and Southern Nevada is sunny pretty much all year round, but having a tournament in spring means we avoid temperatures of over 100 degrees. They are a regular occurrence in summer! Temperatures during our tournament are around 45-55, although they can drop towards freezing after sunset. There are also gym facilities in the local area and we encourage players to use these throughout the tournament and keep themselves in peak condition.

A: Teams from across Utah flock to our tournament every year, from Logan to Saint George.  We are, however, seeing more teams from outside Utah taking part, including states such as California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico and beyond. Over the last few years, we have seen increasing numbers of international players and teams register to play. Youngsters from the United Kingdom regularly take part, as well as those from Europe and Africa.

A: The skill level is very high. Our schedule is designed to ensure every game is extremely competitive, with penalty shootouts to decide an extra point. Previous players who have taken part have gone on to gain college scholarships, sign professional contracts in the UK and coach players in Europe. The fact that we draw players from across the USA, Europe and Africa means we are gaining attention as one of the most skilful youth soccer events in the country.

A: Apart from the incredible climate and scenery, nearby Las Vegas offers an experience not to be missed by players and coaches alike! But our key benefit for players is the potential to be spotted by coaches and recruitment staff from leading colleges in the United States. You will face players who are also fighting for the best college places and scholarships are often on offer for the right players. You never know who is watching! We have strong working links with colleges across the United States and we’ve already had queries from scouts about attending the 2024 tournament.

A: We take the presence of qualified and well-paid officials extremely seriously. That is why we employ officials from the very best youth soccer organizations in the United States and professional leagues in the UK. Players get the opportunity to gain vital experience from these officials, which in turn helps them to develop their prospects in all areas of the game.

A: We want to make everyone welcome at the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament. That is why we have created a program of events and entertainment that keeps everyone fully engaged throughout every day. That program of events includes live music DJs, merchandise stalls, food and personal appearances by famous soccer personalities. It is our intention to keep players, coaches and their families on site and entertained far beyond their conclusion of their games.

A: Every year, we see more college coaches, scouts and recruiters attend the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament. We have developed an excellent reputation for extremely competitive games in a friendly location, alongside a family atmosphere. That gives college staff the ideal opportunity to watch players in the best possible environment. The fact that international players are taking part gives teams another unique chance to show off their talent to college coaches.

A: We have arranged exclusive deals with hotel groups in all three locations to bring you the best prices for quality accommodation throughout the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament. Our arrangement with The Hotel Group (?) is an exclusive deal for all players, coaches and their families.

A: All three cities – Washington, St George and Mesquite have excellent restaurant facilities to suit all tastes. Whether you’re looking for top-class cuisine, a team meal or just a simple snack, you will find it in our host cities. We do, however, recommend booking early to ensure you can eat at a time of your choosing.
